Tallahassee, FL – Valentine’s Day plans may be disrupted as strong storms move through the Tallahassee area Thursday, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds.

According to the National Weather Service, showers and thunderstorms are expected through the afternoon, with a high of 74°F. Winds from the south-southwest will range from 5 to 10 mph, shifting north by evening. Rainfall totals could reach an inch, causing potential localized flooding in low-lying areas.

By Thursday night, rain chances decrease, and skies will clear slightly, leading to a cooler overnight low of 48°F. Friday will bring mostly sunny conditions with a high near 67°F, making for a pleasant start to the weekend.

The weekend forecast remains mostly cloudy, with temperatures peaking at 75°F on Saturday. Scattered showers return late Saturday into Sunday, with a 90% chance of rain and possible thunderstorms. Cooler temperatures follow, with Sunday’s high at 72°F before dropping to 38°F overnight.
