Tampa, FL – Drivers in Tampa and surrounding areas should prepare for hazardous conditions Tuesday morning as dense fog blankets west-central Florida, significantly reducing visibility on major roadways.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until 10 a.m., impacting several counties, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, and Polk. Visibility is expected to drop to a quarter mile or less, creating dangerous driving conditions on highways such as Interstate 275, I-4, and U.S. Route 301. The NWS urges motorists to use headlights, slow down, and maintain a safe following distance while driving through fog-prone areas.
