Tampa, FL – Morning commuters are facing dense fog across Tampa Bay, with visibility dropping to a quarter-mile in some areas. The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory until 9 a.m. Wednesday, urging drivers to use caution, particularly on elevated roads such as the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

According to the National Weather Service, patchy fog has created hazardous conditions, particularly in low-lying areas and along bridges. Drivers should reduce speed, use low-beam headlights, and allow extra travel time. Following the fog, sunny skies and a high near 81 degrees are expected by the afternoon.

Looking ahead, Thanksgiving Day will feature sunny skies with highs near 80, while Friday brings a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Cooler conditions return this weekend, with highs in the upper 60s and lows dipping into the 40s by Saturday night.
