Miami, FL – Drivers in South Florida face challenging conditions Thursday morning as a dense fog advisory remains in effect until noon. Visibility has dropped to a quarter of a mile or less in parts of the interior and west coast, including major roadways like I-75.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the advisory spans areas from Naples to LaBelle, with risks extending to Lakeport and the Everglades. The fog is expected to gradually lift by midday, but commuters are urged to drive with caution, use low-beam headlights, and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles.

Conditions will improve later Thursday as partly cloudy skies and highs near 80°F take over. A weak cold front will move through the area Friday, bringing cooler, drier air. Daytime highs will drop to the mid-70s by the weekend, with lows dipping into the 50s Saturday night.

Beachgoers should be aware of a moderate rip current risk along Palm Beach shores through Sunday due to lingering northeasterly swells. Clear skies and sunny conditions are expected Saturday, making it a prime day for outdoor activities.

Looking ahead to Christmas, temperatures are forecast to climb back into the mid-70s under mostly sunny skies, perfect for holiday gatherings. For now, residents should remain vigilant on the roads and heed NWS updates throughout the morning.

Stay safe and prepare for a brighter, cooler weekend!
