Tampa, FL – Travelers along Florida’s I-75 corridor and nearby roadways are experiencing reduced visibility due to dense fog early Thursday morning. A fog advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m., making this Thanksgiving morning a tricky start for holiday drivers.
According to the National Weather Service Tampa Bay, foggy conditions have already led to low visibility in many areas, including Sarasota, Brooksville, and Tampa. Drivers are urged to allow extra travel time, use low-beam headlights, and maintain slower speeds for safety. Thanksgiving holiday travel could be impacted as the fog lifts by late morning.
Following the foggy start, Thursday’s weather will turn mostly sunny with a high near 80 degrees, making for pleasant conditions for outdoor celebrations. Calm winds will shift slightly to the southwest later in the day, adding to the mild holiday atmosphere.
Looking ahead, Black Friday shoppers can expect another foggy morning with visibility challenges before clearing skies emerge by midday. Friday will bring partly cloudy skies and a high near 74 degrees, with light north winds. The weekend forecast predicts a cool-down, with Saturday’s high reaching 69 degrees under sunny skies and nighttime lows dipping to the low 50s.
Sunday continues the trend of cooler, sunny weather, with highs in the low 70s and crisp, clear evenings. Drivers and outdoor enthusiasts should stay updated on fog conditions during morning hours through the weekend.
Stay cautious while traveling this morning and enjoy clear skies later.
