Flagstaff, AZ — Strong winds are set to sweep across northern Arizona, with Flagstaff facing gusts up to 41 mph through Monday. Residents along I-40 should prepare for difficult driving conditions, especially for high-profile vehicles.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will bring mostly sunny skies with southwest winds reaching 21 mph by afternoon. Gusts could top 33 mph. Winds intensify Monday, with speeds between 22 and 25 mph and gusts potentially reaching 41 mph.

Drivers on I-40 should exercise caution, particularly between Bellemont and Winslow. Secure outdoor items and limit burning activities due to elevated fire weather conditions.

Sunday temperatures will peak around 56°F before cooling to 30°F overnight. Monday brings slightly warmer conditions, topping at 61°F under partly cloudy skies. Breezy conditions will persist.

By Tuesday, expect a high of 52°F before a 20% chance of snow showers arrives Wednesday morning. Daytime highs will dip to the upper 40s midweek, with stronger winds returning.
