Flagstaff, AZ – Snowfall reports from across northern Arizona show significant accumulation from the storm that began Wednesday afternoon and continued into the morning of April 3.
Mounds Park, located southeast of Flagstaff, recorded the highest total at 6.6 inches, according to the U.S. National Weather Service in Flagstaff. Other notable snow totals include Williams and surrounding areas, with up to 5.0 inches reported.
The snowstorm has affected various regions of the city, including downtown Flagstaff, where reports show between 2.8 to 4.6 inches. Locations like Kachina Village and Munds Park also saw 4 inches of snow.
According to the weather service, snow measurements in these areas reflect totals of 2 inches or more. Locations from as far as Prescott, which lies approximately 100 miles to the south, experienced lighter snowfall, ranging from 2.0 to 2.4 inches.
Flagstaff’s heavy snow has impacted traffic and travel, particularly along highways heading into the city. Drivers are urged to be cautious of slippery roads and reduced visibility. Snow is expected to continue throughout the day, with conditions clearing by Thursday morning.
