Evening Storms Could Bring Hail and High Winds to Sioux Falls Area

Sioux Falls, SD – Severe storms are forecasted to hit southeastern South Dakota and northeastern Nebraska this evening.

Residents should prepare for quarter-sized hail and wind gusts up to 60 mph. According to the US National Weather Service, storms are expected to develop from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. near and south of the Missouri River.

Outdoor enthusiasts and campers are advised to stay weather-aware and be ready to seek shelter if warnings are issued.
