BALTIMORE, MD – Maryland residents heading to the polls on Election Day can expect morning fog that may reduce visibility on key roadways, including Interstate 95 and the Baltimore Beltway. The fog, expected between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m., will gradually clear to partly cloudy skies, with temperatures reaching the low 70s by midday. Voters should plan extra travel time to account for possible delays and limited visibility.
According to the National Weather Service, winds will pick up slightly, reaching gusts of up to 20 mph by afternoon. Overnight lows will dip to around 62 degrees with partly cloudy skies, allowing for a mild evening and ideal conditions for any late-night voting plans or returns-watching gatherings.
Wednesday brings warmer weather to Baltimore, with highs climbing near 81 degrees under partly sunny skies. Winds will strengthen, with gusts up to 21 mph expected by afternoon. Residents may feel a slight chill as temperatures drop to around 64 degrees overnight, accompanied by a 20% chance of scattered showers.
Thursday’s forecast includes a shift toward cooler weather, with a high of 75 degrees and a 30% chance of showers in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to dip to 53 degrees overnight, leading into a mostly sunny Friday with a high near 69.
Residents planning outdoor activities should consider the likelihood of rain Wednesday night into Thursday, especially in higher elevations, where cooler temperatures could add to the chill. By the weekend, skies will clear, bringing back mild and mostly sunny weather with Saturday’s high forecast near 65 degrees.
