Newport, NC – Scattered showers and a cold front are set to impact eastern North Carolina beginning tonight. Rain chances increase through tomorrow, marking a shift in the week’s weather pattern.
According to the National Weather Service, tomorrow’s high temperatures will hover near 70 degrees, the warmest of the week. Rainfall probabilities range from 37% to 50% across the region, with Morehead City and surrounding areas experiencing the highest chances.
The cold front will pass by late Tuesday, bringing a significant temperature drop. Daytime highs will plummet to the 50s for the remainder of the week. Coastal communities, including Jacksonville, Kinston, and Ocracoke, should prepare for cooler and breezy conditions after the rain subsides.
