St. Paul, Minnesota – Lingering rain and cloudy skies will keep eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin damp through Friday, but residents can look forward to a sunny, warmer weekend as conditions steadily improve.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, rain currently falling over central Minnesota is moving east, reaching eastern portions of the state and western Wisconsin tonight. Scattered showers will persist into Friday, especially across western Wisconsin, before tapering off by Friday evening. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 30s to mid-40s.

By Saturday, skies will clear statewide with highs climbing into the low to mid-60s. Sunday will bring even warmer temperatures, ranging from 69 to 74 degrees, under clear and sunny skies. Cities like Rochester, Eau Claire, and the Twin Cities metro can expect ideal outdoor conditions after a cloudy start to the weekend.

Travelers are urged to use caution tonight and Friday morning as roads may be slick from intermittent rain. Residents should also consider delaying yardwork or other outdoor plans until Saturday to avoid muddy conditions.

Rain is expected to fully exit the region by Friday evening, with no additional weather advisories currently in effect. Sunny, spring-like weather is expected to hold through the weekend.
