Residents in Caribou, ME, can expect cooler temperatures as fall officially begins today. The first day of autumn kicks off with mild, partly cloudy weather, leading into a stretch of dry days ahead.

According to the National Weather Service in Caribou, high pressure moving in from Eastern Canada will maintain cool conditions with only isolated showers, particularly in the far northeast. Today’s high will reach 66°F, followed by slightly cooler temperatures hovering around 65°F on Monday.

Drivers on Route 1 should be aware of possible light rain in the northernmost areas, especially in the late afternoon. Otherwise, the weather will remain dry, making this an excellent time for outdoor activities. The cool and dry weather will persist through midweek, with highs in the mid-60s. Plan ahead for a potential return of rain late in the week.
