Dupage County: Gunshot Victim Hospitalized After Road Rage Incident in Carol Stream

Carol Stream, IL – A man was shot during a road rage incident in Carol Stream on Thursday evening.

According to the Carol Stream Police Department, officers responded to the parking lot of 400 W Army Trail Rd around 8:00 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with a gunshot wound to his leg. The suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle before the officers arrived.

The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital, where he underwent surgery and is now in stable condition.

Thanks to the swift efforts of the police and investigators, information on the suspect was quickly gathered. The alleged shooter was found at his residence and taken into custody without incident. Preliminary findings indicate that the shooting was the result of a road rage incident.

The suspect remains in custody as an investigation into the incident remains ongoing with no charges yet filed.
