Dodge City, KS – Drivers in southwest Kansas are being urged to use caution this morning as patchy fog reduces visibility, particularly along low-lying areas and near major roadways, including U.S. Route 283. The National Weather Service warns that fog development will persist until shortly after sunrise, posing potential hazards for early commuters.

With near-zero visibility in some locations, travelers are advised to allow extra travel time, use low-beam headlights, and exercise caution on the roads. Conditions are expected to improve as the sun rises.
Despite this morning’s fog, weather conditions are set to clear by the afternoon. Sunny skies will prevail Sunday, with a high near 63 degrees. Overnight, temperatures will dip to a low of 31 under mostly clear skies.
