Dallas, Texas – Stormy skies will return to North and Central Texas early next week, bringing daily chances for thunderstorms and potential severe weather through Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, scattered showers and storms are expected each afternoon and evening from Monday through Wednesday, with 30% to 50% rain chances across Dallas/Fort Worth, Waco, Sherman, and Palestine. Forecasters say some storms may turn strong, producing heavy rain, gusty winds, or frequent lightning.
Dallas-Fort Worth will hover in the mid-80s each day, with lows in the upper 60s. Waco and Killeen could see highs pushing the low 90s despite the rain. Storms may bring brief localized flooding or travel delays, particularly during afternoon commutes on I-35 and I-45 corridors. Drivers should use caution and avoid flooded roadways.
Residents are advised to stay weather-aware, charge electronic devices, and secure outdoor items in case of gusty winds. While this pattern is typical for early June, it’s the most active multi-day storm stretch since late spring.
Storm chances taper off by Thursday, but additional alerts may be issued if conditions worsen over the weekend.
