Dallas, TX – North and Central Texas will continue to see elevated fire weather conditions through the weekend as dry, breezy conditions persist.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, a cold front will push through the region Friday, bringing gusty north winds. Despite slightly cooler temperatures, low humidity and strong winds will continue to elevate the risk of wildfires, especially west of I-35. Sustained winds of 15-30 mph, with gusts up to 35 mph, are expected.

The fire danger is highest in areas including Dallas-Fort Worth, Waco, Killeen, and Graham, where temperatures will climb into the 80s by Sunday. A slight chance of storms may develop late Sunday as another front moves through, but rainfall is expected to be limited.

Residents are advised to avoid outdoor burning, secure loose objects, and report any fire activity immediately. Fire officials urge extreme caution until conditions improve early next week.
