Denver, Colorado – Afternoon thunderstorms are expected to fire up across Colorado’s Front Range and mountain regions each day through Monday, with temperatures hovering near seasonal averages.

According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely late each day, including Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Daytime highs will climb into the low 90s across the Urban Corridor and Plains, with cooler 70s in the Mountains and Valleys.

Cities like Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins may see quick downpours, gusty winds, and lightning during the late afternoon and evening hours. Travelers on I-25 and I-70 should remain alert for changing road conditions, especially during peak storm activity between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Residents are advised to secure outdoor items, avoid flooded areas, and monitor local alerts. The storms could bring brief but intense rainfall, similar to patterns seen earlier this summer.

Storm chances continue through Monday evening, with possible updates to watches or warnings if conditions intensify.

Three-Day Outlook:

  • Saturday: Highs 82–92°F (Plains), 56–75°F (Mountains); scattered PM storms
  • Sunday: Highs 82–92°F (Plains), 60–77°F (Mountains); scattered PM storms
