Dense Fog Causes School Delays Across Northern Indiana and Southwest Michigan

Goshen, IN – Several schools are on a two-hour delay Monday morning due to dense fog impacting visibility across the region.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Dense Fog Advisory in effect until 10 a.m. EST, warning of visibility dropping to less than one mile. Schools affected by the delay include Bethany Christian, Clinton Christian, Fairfield, Goshen, LaPorte, Lakeland, Middlebury, New Prairie United, Prairie Heights, St. John’s Lutheran-LaPorte, Watervliet, Wa-Nee, West Noble, and Westview.

According to the NWS, the advisory covers portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio, particularly areas along and north of the Toll Road. Drivers are advised to slow down, use headlights, and maintain extra distance during their commute.
