Indianapolis, IN – Early morning travelers across Central Indiana and parts of the Ohio Valley are urged to exercise caution due to patchy dense fog affecting visibility. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued special weather statements highlighting potential hazards for drivers.
According to the NWS in Indianapolis and Wilmington, Ohio, areas including Indianapolis, Kokomo, Terre Haute, Richmond, and Muncie are experiencing fog with visibilities reduced to a quarter mile in some locations. The conditions may persist through the early morning hours, potentially impacting morning commutes.
Residents are advised to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain a safe following distance when driving through areas of reduced visibility. The fog is expected to lift as temperatures rise later this morning.
