Green Bay, WI – A dense fog advisory remains in effect for central, north-central, and northeast Wisconsin through 9 a.m. Monday. Drivers across the region face visibility reduced to a quarter mile or less.

The National Weather Service issued the alert Sunday at 5:02 p.m., warning of hazardous driving conditions due to the thick fog. Affected areas include cities such as Wausau, Stevens Point, Rhinelander, and Wisconsin Rapids.

The advisory recommends that drivers slow down, use low-beam headlights, and maintain a safe following distance to avoid accidents. Commuters on Monday morning should plan extra travel time.

According to the National Weather Service, the fog could significantly impact travel, especially along rural and wooded highways. It is expected to dissipate by mid-morning as temperatures rise.

Residents are urged to stay updated on weather conditions by visiting the National Weather Service website or tuning in to local forecasts.
