Delaware – A thick layer of fog hangs over Wilmington this morning, cutting visibility to around a half mile at times and leaving I-95 and Route 13 damp and hazy. Temperatures sit near 40 degrees, and light rain has kept pavement slick. If you’re heading out, use low beams and allow extra space between vehicles.

According to the National Weather Service, rain chances remain around 40% through midday before tapering later this afternoon. Highs reach near 50 degrees with patchy fog lingering into late morning. Winds stay light, so any mist may take time to fully clear.

Another round of rain develops late tonight into Thursday, with rain likely and highs climbing to 55. Showers continue into Thursday night, and a rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out before daybreak Friday. Rain chances ease Friday, though clouds linger and highs hover near 52.

The bigger story is the warmup. Saturday surges to near 71 degrees with partial sunshine before another chance of showers arrives late. Sunday turns mostly sunny with highs near 65.

Early next week keeps the spring vibe going. Monday reaches the upper 60s, and Tuesday climbs into the low 70s. March is adding daylight quickly, and clocks spring ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8.
