Corpus Christi, Texas – A weak cold front could bring scattered thunderstorms and a slight break from the heat to South Texas on Saturday, as rain chances rise to nearly 40% in the Corpus Christi area.

According to the National Weather Service, there’s a 10–40% chance of showers and thunderstorms each day from Thursday through Monday, with Saturday marking the most likely period for rainfall. The front may briefly push temperatures down into the mid-80s, offering minor relief from otherwise persistent highs in the 90s.

In Corpus Christi, daytime temperatures are expected to hover between 87–98°F through Monday. Lows will range from the upper 60s to upper 70s. Rain chances remain minimal Thursday and Friday but climb to 21–39% on Saturday, especially in inland and western areas.

Travelers and outdoor event organizers should monitor conditions closely, especially on Saturday. Isolated storms could cause brief delays or slick roadways. Residents are advised to stay weather-aware, especially in areas with poor drainage.

The heat returns Sunday and Monday with highs back in the upper 90s. Rain chances drop again early next week, but additional updates are likely as the front approaches.
