Houston, TX – Residents can expect a continuation of cool evenings this weekend, with sunny skies and mild daytime temperatures on Sunday. The high will reach 66 degrees, making it ideal for outdoor plans. However, as the sun sets, temperatures will drop to the upper 40s across the city, with some rural areas dipping even lower.

According to the National Weather Service, dry conditions will persist through Monday, offering a calm start to the week. However, changes are on the horizon as a storm system approaches. Rain chances increase significantly Tuesday evening, with thunderstorms expected to sweep through the Houston area on Wednesday. These storms could bring up to an inch of rainfall, creating potentially hazardous conditions for drivers on major roadways such as I-10, I-45, and Beltway 8.

The rain is expected to linger into Thursday morning, with additional showers forecast through the end of the week. Residents are urged to plan ahead for the wet weather, particularly during peak travel times.

Stay tuned for more updates on the storm system as it develops. Be prepared with rain gear and allow extra time for commutes later in the week.
