Colorado Springs, CO – A winter storm continues to impact parts of Colorado, with significant snow expected in the Pikes Peak and Fremont County areas. As of 6:04 PM MDT on Friday, April 18, 2025, a Winter Storm Warning is in effect through 4 PM MDT Saturday, April 19, 2025.
The National Weather Service warns of heavy snow accumulation, with totals ranging from 6 to 14 inches depending on location. Northwestern Fremont County, Teller County, and the Rampart Range, including Pikes Peak, will see the heaviest snowfall, making travel difficult, especially in higher elevations above 8,500 feet.
Residents of Woodland Park, Colorado Springs, and the surrounding areas are advised to take extra precautions as snow continues to accumulate overnight. According to the National Weather Service, travel disruptions are possible, particularly along roads at higher elevations.
