Colorado Springs, CO – A winter storm is set to continue bringing snow and hazardous road conditions to central and southern Colorado through early next week. Heavy snowfall is expected along Highway 50, especially in Teller and El Paso counties, making travel treacherous.
According to the National Weather Service, snow will persist into Saturday, with 3 to 7 inches expected near the Rampart Range. Roads may quickly become slick, particularly during the morning commute. Drivers should allow extra travel time and check local road conditions before heading out.
Saturday will bring a high of 53°F with mostly sunny skies by the afternoon, but another cold night will follow with lows near 19°F. Sunday will be slightly warmer, with highs reaching 60°F. By Monday, temperatures will climb to 64°F under mostly sunny skies before cooling slightly midweek.
Although the storm will taper off by late Saturday, winter weather hazards will remain in the region. Residents should prepare for icy conditions and reduced visibility in higher elevations.
Stay updated with local forecasts and drive cautiously as winter weather persists.
