Pueblo, Colo. – Afternoon thunderstorms could roll through Colorado’s mountain regions each day through Saturday, with the high terrain seeing a mix of rain and snow showers as early as Thursday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Pueblo, the eastern Plains will stay dry and sunny with highs climbing from the low 70s on Thursday to near 80°F by Saturday. Mountain valleys will warm into the mid-to-upper 60s by the weekend but face a 30% chance of thunderstorms starting Friday evening.

The higher elevations, including areas west of Colorado Springs and north toward the Continental Divide, could see a mix of showers and isolated thunderstorms each afternoon—especially between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Snow could briefly mix in above 10,000 feet, particularly Thursday night and early Friday.

Drivers heading into the mountains should plan for rapidly changing weather. Pack layers, watch for slick roads in shaded areas, and avoid afternoon hiking or travel in storm-prone zones.

The chance for storms continues into Saturday evening, with updated advisories likely as weather patterns evolve.
