Denver, CO – Colorado drivers should prepare for delays as multiple highways across the state face temporary closures due to winter conditions. Colorado State Patrol announced a comprehensive list of road closures impacting major routes across eastern and southeastern Colorado, urging travelers to plan accordingly.
Current closures include I-70 eastbound from Airpark to Burlington, I-70 westbound from Burlington to Limon, and I-25 southbound from Pueblo to the New Mexico border. Other affected routes include US 24 from Calhan to Limon, US 40 from Cheyenne Wells to Limon, and various sections of US 160, US 287, CO 71, and CO 94, among others.
The closures will affect travel in areas from Kit Carson to El Paso County, as well as near the borders with Kansas and New Mexico. State patrol officers encourage drivers to stay informed and consider alternative routes to avoid delays.
