A high-pressure system will bring warm and mostly dry weather across the San Juan Mountains and surrounding areas on Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to climb into the low 80s by mid-afternoon. A weak disturbance could bring isolated showers and thunderstorms, primarily affecting higher elevations, including the Continental Divide and areas along I-70.

According to the US National Weather Service in Grand Junction, these showers are expected to be short-lived and localized. Motorists traveling along I-70 and near the San Juan Mountains should be prepared for potential rain and decreased visibility in the afternoon. Clear skies and warmer conditions are forecast for the remainder of the week, with temperatures steadily rising into the mid-80s by Thursday.
