Pueblo, CO – A stretch of warm and dry weather will kick off the week in southern Colorado, but changes are on the horizon. Residents can expect mild temperatures Monday before a late-week system brings rain, snow, and strong winds.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be sunny with a high near 76°F and light west winds of 10 to 15 mph. Fire weather concerns may develop in parts of eastern Colorado due to low humidity and gusty winds. By Tuesday, temperatures will remain in the mid-60s with increasing cloud cover and shifting winds.

A stronger system is expected to move into the region by Thursday and Friday, bringing a chance of mountain snow and rain across the lower elevations. Friday’s forecast calls for highs in the upper 40s, with winds possibly gusting up to 40 mph. Blustery conditions may impact travel on I-25, especially during peak commuting hours.

By the weekend, conditions should stabilize, with mostly sunny skies and highs rebounding into the 50s. Motorists should monitor forecasts for potential road impacts later in the week. Those planning outdoor activities should prepare for shifting conditions.

Check back for updates as the late-week storm develops.
