Denver, CO – A major shift in Colorado’s weather is expected this weekend, with snow and colder temperatures moving into the region. Residents should prepare for possible travel disruptions, especially from Friday night into Saturday.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will drop significantly after a mild and breezy Thursday, with highs near 55°F. Friday brings a chance of rain and snow in the evening, transitioning to snowfall overnight as temperatures fall to 30°F. By Saturday, a slight chance of snow persists, with highs reaching only 46°F.

Sunday and Monday will see continued cooling, with highs of 42°F and 39°F, respectively. Snow chances increase again on Monday, with overnight lows dipping into the teens. Strong winds could create hazardous driving conditions, particularly in mountainous areas.

Officials advise travelers to monitor forecasts and allow extra travel time, as road conditions may deteriorate. If you’re planning weekend activities, prepare for winter conditions and dress accordingly.
