Cleveland, OH – A chilly weekend is on the horizon as snow showers and below-freezing temperatures take hold across Northeast Ohio. Residents should prepare for snowy conditions and icy roads, especially on Saturday, as accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are expected.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Cleveland, temperatures will hover in the 20s Friday evening, dropping to a low of 10 degrees overnight. Saturday will bring a high of 25 to 32 degrees, with steady snow showers throughout the day. Motorists traveling along I-90 and other major roadways should anticipate slippery conditions and reduced visibility.

Sunday will offer brief relief, with partly sunny skies and highs near 33 degrees. However, Monday marks the return of snow showers, accompanied by brisk winds and temperatures ranging from 12 to 34 degrees. Snow chances will persist into Tuesday, with highs climbing slightly to the mid-30s.

While the snow totals are modest, the frigid air poses risks for frostbite and hypothermia. The NWS urges residents to wear layers, limit outdoor exposure, and check on vulnerable neighbors.

If you plan to travel, leave extra time to navigate snowy and icy roads safely. Keep an emergency kit, including blankets and a flashlight, in your vehicle.

Stay informed with local forecasts, as changing conditions could increase snowfall totals or impact roadways more severely than expected.
