Grand Forks, ND — Cooler temperatures will settle across the region from Sunday through Tuesday, bringing a sharp contrast to recent weather. Sunny skies, combined with breezy northerly winds, will dominate Sunday.

Monday and Tuesday mornings will see widespread frost and freeze, with temperatures dropping to lows between 29 and 33 degrees. According to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, daytime highs on Monday are expected to range from 46 to 54 degrees. Winds will calm slightly, but the cold will remain, especially during the early morning hours.

By Tuesday, mostly sunny skies return, but with highs only reaching 51 to 56 degrees. Breezy conditions are expected throughout the day, and morning lows could dip as far as 26 degrees, prompting freeze warnings.

Residents are advised to prepare for freezing conditions early in the week. Gardeners and farmers should take precautions to protect crops from frost damage during this cold snap.
