Tuesday morning will bring bitterly cold conditions to Nashville and the surrounding areas. Temperatures are expected to hover near 20°F at sunrise, but brisk northwest winds of 10–15 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph, will create wind chills as low as 10°F in some spots. Rural areas, particularly along the Plateau, may experience wind chills dipping into the single digits.

By midday, partly sunny skies will emerge, offering little relief as temperatures rise to a high of only 35°F. The strong winds will persist, keeping the air feeling much colder. Commuters and outdoor workers should dress in layers, cover exposed skin, and limit time outside if possible.

Tuesday night, temperatures will plummet again, with lows around 20°F. Winds will calm slightly, but the biting chill will linger.

The extended forecast shows a pattern of freezing conditions throughout the week. Wednesday will bring slightly calmer winds and highs near 32°F under mostly sunny skies, followed by a clear and frigid night with lows around 15°F. Thursday offers sunny conditions, but temperatures will barely reach 34°F. By Friday, snow showers are possible, mainly in the afternoon, with highs in the mid-30s. Prepare for a prolonged cold stretch by checking updates and staying warm.
