Pennsylvania – A brisk cold front is set to shape this week’s weather in Pittsburgh, bringing a mix of sun, clouds, and rain through the weekend. Temperatures will remain below seasonal averages initially but will begin to climb by midweek before another round of rain showers hits the region.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, Tuesday’s high will hover around 51°F, with clouds gradually giving way to sunshine by the evening. However, residents should prepare for strong winds, reaching up to 21 mph, as cooler air moves in. The clear skies overnight will drop temperatures to the upper 20s, so motorists are advised to watch for frost early Wednesday.

Wednesday promises a warmer, sunnier day with highs near 56°F. However, clouds are expected to return in the evening, bringing a slight chance of rain or even snow in higher elevations after midnight. Thursday will usher in more significant weather changes, with an 80% chance of rain throughout the day and highs in the mid-50s, which could impact morning and evening commutes along I-376 and other major routes.

Looking ahead, Friday holds a slight chance of lingering showers before drying out in the afternoon. Highs will reach around 54°F, giving way to mostly cloudy skies overnight. By Saturday, Pittsburgh can expect a return of mostly sunny skies, with temperatures reaching a pleasant 57°F, making it an ideal day for outdoor activities.

Be sure to stay updated on evolving weather conditions, especially as temperatures fluctuate this week, and be mindful of potential rain showers on Thursday which may cause slick road conditions.
