Jacksonville, FL – Northeast Florida residents are bracing for sub-freezing temperatures as a Freeze Warning remains in effect early Tuesday morning, with more cold weather expected through Wednesday. Temperatures could dip as low as 29 degrees, posing risks to outdoor plants, pets, and vulnerable populations.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the warning runs from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a Freeze Watch late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Wind chills could make it feel as low as 20 degrees. Residents are urged to dress warmly, bring pets inside, and protect outdoor vegetation.

Looking ahead, the week will see sunny skies but persistently cold temperatures, with highs in the low 50s and lows near freezing through Thursday. A slight warming trend begins Friday, but rain chances increase.
