According to the NWS, this flood watch will affect areas near major roadways like I-40, where water accumulation could cause dangerous driving conditions. Residents are advised to avoid unnecessary travel in these areas until the flood risk subsides.
As of Friday morning, the forecast predicts mostly clear skies for the remainder of the weekend, with temperatures ranging from the mid-60s at night to low 80s during the day. Saturday and Sunday will both see clear skies, while the next week holds a slight chance of rain by Tuesday.
