Chicago, IL – A quiet and seasonably mild start to November is on tap across northern Illinois, with mostly sunny skies and above-normal temperatures expected through midweek, according to the National Weather Service in Chicago.

Forecasters say areas of morning fog will clear by late morning Sunday, giving way to partly cloudy skies and afternoon highs in the low to mid-50s. Overnight lows will dip into the 30s and lower 40s under mostly clear skies.

The mild pattern strengthens early in the week, with highs reaching the upper 50s Monday and climbing into the low to mid-60s Tuesday and Wednesday. Conditions will stay dry and pleasant, with only a few sprinkles possible near the Wisconsin state line on Sunday.

Meteorologists note that this stretch marks a welcome calm period after recent unsettled weather, as high pressure keeps the region mostly dry through midweek. Winds off Lake Michigan may keep lakeshore areas slightly cooler, but overall, a comfortable fall pattern is expected.
