Chicago, IL – A cold front will bring gusty winds and dropping temperatures to the Chicago area on Tuesday. A brief cool-down will follow before unseasonably warm temperatures return later this week.
According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday will start with high temperatures before falling steadily throughout the day. Winds will strengthen, creating blustery conditions by evening. Low temperatures will dip into the 30s overnight.
By Wednesday, the region will warm back up, with highs ranging from the mid-50s to the upper 60s. Thursday will continue the trend, reaching 60 to 72 degrees. By Friday, strong south winds will push temperatures even higher, topping out between 72 and 77 degrees.
Friday night will bring a storm system, with showers and thunderstorms likely. Gusty winds may accompany the storms overnight. The National Weather Service advises residents to monitor forecasts for updates.
