The most significant shift arrives Wednesday night, with showers and thunderstorms becoming likely, especially near the I-88 corridor.

Tuesday’s weather will feature hazy skies with high temperatures between 75 and 80 degrees. The heat will peak on Wednesday, with highs soaring to between 85 and 89 degrees before the wet weather system moves in. By Thursday, temperatures will cool into the upper 70s and low 80s, with continued chances for rain and storms.

Cooler conditions are anticipated near Lake Michigan from Thursday through Saturday. The chance for showers will persist each day through the end of the week, bringing cooler temperatures and needed rain to the region.
