Chicago, IL – Rain is expected to taper off by this evening across the Chicago area, with patchy fog developing overnight. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), northwest Indiana may see lake-effect showers during the night into early tomorrow.
The weather will remain calm through Thursday, with seasonable conditions prevailing. Wednesday’s high will reach between 72 to 76 degrees, and Thursday’s temperatures could climb to 79 degrees. Nights will cool down into the low 60s.
Fog will form primarily overnight, reducing visibility for early morning commuters. According to the NWS, lake-effect showers may develop near Lake Michigan, especially affecting northwest Indiana through the night.
Friday may see scattered showers, but the bulk of the rain will hold off until the weekend. There is a 30% to 50% chance of rain from Saturday onwards, particularly south of I-80. Highs will stay in the mid to upper 70s.
