New York, NY – Monday morning’s showers will give way to sunny skies starting Tuesday in New York City. Residents planning outdoor activities in Central Park may want to postpone until midweek when dry and pleasant weather is expected.
According to the National Weather Service, rain showers and thunderstorms will hit early Monday, bringing less than a tenth of an inch of rain. The showers will clear by Monday afternoon, followed by clear skies and a high near 71°F. Drivers should be cautious of slick roads, especially on the West Side Highway.
From Tuesday onward, the sun will dominate with highs around 67°F and light winds, perfect for an afternoon walk or bike ride. By Wednesday, the weather will be even better, with sunny skies and a high of 66°F. Expect more of the same on Thursday, with the added bonus of slightly warmer temperatures.
If you’re planning outdoor events or recreational activities, aim for the sunny midweek stretch to make the most of New York’s beautiful fall weather.
