According to the National Weather Service in Binghamton, cities like Rome and Utica could see up to a 70% chance of rain through midday Thursday. Showers are expected to taper off gradually from west to east by evening, with drier air settling in overnight into early Friday.
Rome leads the region in rain potential through noon, while Utica and Syracuse follow closely with rain chances hovering between 50–60%. Farther south, cities including Binghamton, Elmira, and Wilkes-Barre are seeing much lower rain odds, between 10–25% most of the day.
