Central Indiana Faces Damaging Winds Along I-70 Corridor Wednesday into July 4th

Indianapolis, IN – Thunderstorms are expected to develop along and south of the I-70 corridor this afternoon and continue through the evening, potentially impacting Fourth of July celebrations. Some storms could be capable of producing damaging winds. Stay weather aware today!

According to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis, storms will continue through Thursday morning and may redevelop Thursday afternoon and evening. Uncertainty remains high regarding the exact timing and location of the thunderstorm threat on Independence Day. Today’s high will reach 88 degrees with a low of 70 degrees.

Central Indiana residents planning outdoor activities or fireworks displays should stay updated on weather conditions. There is a significant risk of severe weather, including damaging winds, which could disrupt celebrations. The high temperature for the Fourth of July is expected to be 82 degrees with a low of 71 degrees.
