Springfield, IL – Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue to move through central Illinois late Saturday into Sunday, impacting travel and outdoor plans through early afternoon.

According to the US National Weather Service Central Illinois, rain and a few thunderstorms are expected to persist overnight and into Sunday morning, gradually ending by midday. Temperatures on Sunday will range from 50 to 57 degrees, with overnight lows dipping into the upper 30s.

Monday brings drier conditions with partly sunny skies and breezy winds, as highs reach between 53 and 60 degrees. Rain chances return Tuesday, with scattered showers likely throughout the day and into Tuesday night. Temperatures will hold steady in the mid-50s to low 60s during the day and mid-30s overnight.

The midweek period offers a brief dry window, with mostly sunny skies on Wednesday and a high near 60. Another round of rain is possible Thursday with temperatures warming into the upper 60s.
