Lincoln, IL – Central Illinois will see warm, mostly dry weather this week, with the potential for isolated thunderstorms west of I-55. Highs are expected to reach the mid-80s to around 90 degrees daily, while overnight lows will range from the mid-50s to lower 60s.
The U.S. National Weather Service (NWS) Central Illinois reports that isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible today, especially west of I-55 and I-155. However, there is little chance of widespread rain across the region.
According to the NWS, Monday through Thursday will bring mostly sunny skies with warm temperatures, peaking between 84 and 91 degrees. Nighttime temperatures will drop to between 54 and 63 degrees, with mostly clear skies offering cooler conditions.
Dry weather is anticipated for most of Central Illinois during the workweek, making outdoor plans ideal for the upcoming days. However, those near I-55 and I-155 should remain alert for isolated thunderstorms today, which could bring brief but intense rainfall in some areas.
