According to the National Weather Service in Lincoln, widespread showers are expected to begin Saturday morning, increasing in intensity by Saturday night. Rain chances remain at 80% Saturday and climb to 90% by Sunday night. Winds from the east and southeast could reach speeds up to 39 mph during this system, especially along I-74 and open rural roads.
