Peachtree City, GA – Central Georgia residents should prepare for freezing nights and chilly mornings through midweek, with tonight’s low dropping to 26°F. The region will see a stretch of cold weather under mostly clear skies, creating ideal conditions for frost.

The National Weather Service predicts Saturday’s high will reach a sunny 48°F. However, temperatures will plummet overnight, leading to frosty conditions. Sunday will bring a slight warm-up, with a high of 54°F, but the nighttime chill returns with a low of 25°F.

Looking ahead, the forecast shows continued sunny days but frigid nights. Monday’s high will reach 47°F before dropping to a cold 22°F overnight. Similar conditions will persist into Tuesday and Wednesday, with nighttime lows in the lower 20s.

Residents are urged to take precautions, including covering exposed water pipes, protecting outdoor plants, and ensuring pets are brought indoors. Frosty mornings could also impact drivers, so extra time should be allowed for defrosting windshields.

Prepare now to stay safe and comfortable during this extended period of cold weather.
