Orlando, Florida – Brace for another round of afternoon storms as Central Florida heats up Wednesday with a high near 92°F and a 70% chance of rain.

According to the National Weather Service in Melbourne, thunderstorms are likely to develop after 2 p.m. Wednesday across the Orlando metro area, with heavier downpours expected into the evening. Areas near Interstate 4 may see brief street flooding during the afternoon commute. Winds from the southwest could gust up to 10 mph.

Residents should monitor for lightning and avoid flooded roadways. If thunder roars, head indoors. Rainfall amounts may approach an inch in some neighborhoods by evening.

Thursday continues the soggy pattern with more thunderstorms likely between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., with daytime highs staying in the low 90s. The active summer-like weather remains through Saturday with daily chances of storms—peaking each afternoon and evening. Wind direction shifts slightly by Friday, but expect heat, humidity, and potential power disruptions if storms intensify.

By Sunday, the area may see brief relief: only a 30% chance of rain, and slightly cooler highs around 88°F. Monday brings more moisture back in, with a 50% chance of thunderstorms and a high of 89°F under partly sunny skies.

⚠️ Weather alerts remain possible through the weekend. Stay updated with local emergency management for any changes or advisories.
