Melbourne, FL – A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect for Florida’s east-central coast, including Brevard County, until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Visibility along major routes, including I-95 and U.S. 1, may drop to a quarter-mile or less, creating hazardous driving conditions.

According to the National Weather Service, the fog developed overnight and is expected to clear after 9 a.m. Motorists are advised to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and allow extra following distance when traveling in affected areas. The advisory encompasses communities from Melbourne to Vero Beach, with similar conditions reported across surrounding counties.

As the fog lifts, Wednesday’s forecast predicts partly sunny skies with temperatures peaking at 72°F. Winds will shift to the northwest at 5 to 10 mph, bringing cooler air overnight with lows around 53°F.

Looking ahead, sunny weather dominates through the weekend. Thursday’s high will reach 70°F, followed by clear skies Friday and a slight dip in temperatures Saturday, with a high near 61°F. Morning commuters on Thursday and Friday may face similar foggy conditions early but should see improved visibility after sunrise.

Drivers should remain alert for reduced visibility this morning and plan extra time for their travels. Boaters should also be cautious, as low visibility may extend offshore.
