Orlando, FL – A cold weather advisory is in effect for Central Florida, including Orlando, Daytona Beach, and surrounding areas, until 10 a.m. Wednesday, with wind chills as low as 28°F.

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has also issued a wind advisory for coastal Volusia County, in effect until 9 a.m. Wednesday. Winds are expected to reach 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 35 mph, creating hazardous conditions for outdoor activities and high-profile vehicles.

Counties impacted include Inland Volusia, Northern and Southern Lake, Orange, and Seminole. Residents should dress in layers, covering exposed skin to avoid cold-related health risks. Gusty winds may blow around unsecured objects and damage tree limbs.

Drivers, especially those operating large vehicles, are advised to exercise caution due to strong gusts. Ensure outdoor furniture and decorations are secured to prevent damage or injury.

As conditions improve later in the morning, temperatures will rise, but lingering breezes may continue to affect outdoor plans. Stay informed through local alerts and the National Weather Service for updates on cold and windy conditions in the area.
